
AVHS Healthcare Scholarships Awarded to 3 Local Recipients
Meade, KS – May 11, 2023 – Artesian Valley Health System (AVHS), a local non-profit organization healthcare system in Meade, Kansas, announced its three recipients for its Healthcare Scholarship Award for the 2022-2023 school year.
Artesian Valley Health System is committed to assisting our community’s upcoming generation in pursuing a career in the healthcare industry. Therefore, AVHS offered three scholarships to seniors from area high schools: Meade, South Gray, and Southwestern Heights. Applicants had to be graduating students at Meade, South Gray, or Southwestern Heights High School and planning to major in healthcare. In addition, they were required to verify an official copy of their High School transcript, an essay, a resume of extracurricular activities and awards, and two letters of recommendation from a teacher or school counselor and a non-family member. All applicants were remarkably worthy and high performers in academics, community service, extracurricular activities, honors, and special recognitions. The AVHS Healthcare Scholarship recipients are:
Meade High School: Madison Katie-Ann Sutterfield, Nursing at Fort Hays State University.
South Gray High School: Alleris Isabella Granados, Biology – Pre-Dental at the University of Arkansas.
Southwestern Heights High School: Roxanna Belle Stone, Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Nursing at Garden City Community College and Fort Hays State University.
