The hospital is governed by a five-member, board of directors, comprising a broad spectrum of professional, business and community leaders. The board is responsible for hospital compliance with legal requirements, maintenance of professional and ethical standards of healthcare and financial and operational management. Artesian Valley Health System’s Board Meetings are accessible to the public and take place in the Frame Room located at Meade District Hospital. These meetings occur every fourth Thursday of the month, except for November and December, where they are scheduled on the third Thursday due to holiday conflicts. The meeting time is typically at 4:30 pm, unless otherwise specified.
