Meade County has 29 cases of COVID-19 and 25 of those have recovered.

Artesian Valley Health is taking precautions to prevent the spread of respiratory illnesses, including Coronavirus (COVID-19) and to protect the well-being of our patients, residents, visitors, and staff.

ALL SERVICES AT AVHS REMAIN OPEN AND AVAILABLE TO OUR COMMUNITY.

Meade District Hospital

  • All patients and visitors MUST use front entrance of the hospital between the hours of 7 am to 5:30 pm.
  • All patients and visitors will go through a screening process upon entry.
  • In-patients are allowed TWO visitors above the age of eighteen, during visiting hours.
    • Visiting hours are from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 8:30 pm

Lone Tree Retirement Center

  • LTRC has restricted visitation of ALL visitors. There are exceptions for certain compassionate care situations, such as end-of-life. In that situation, visitors with symptoms of respiratory infections such as a fever, cough, sore throat, or shortness of breath WILL NOT be permitted to enter the facility at any time, regardless of the situation.

Meade Rural Health Clinic

  • MRHC will see patients with respiratory symptoms such as cough, sore throat, and shortness of breath, between the hours of 1 pm to 5 pm. All other patients will be seen between the hours of 7:30 am to 12 pm.
  • All patients will go through a screening process upon entry.
  • Please DO NOT bring anyone else to your appointment unless absolutley necessary.
  • We are asking that you please CALL FIRST if you believe you have been exposed to COVID-19 or are experiencing symptoms such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath, to be screened via phone.

Plains Rural Health Clinic

  • PRHC will continue to see patients from 8 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 5 pm.
  • All patients will go through a screening process upon entry.
  • Please DO NOT bring anyone else to your appointment unless absolutley necessary.
  • We are asking that you please CALL FIRST if you believe you have been exposed to COVID-19 or are experiencing symptoms such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath, to be screened via phone.

You have to meet very specific criteria to be tested for COVID-19 as outlined by the CDC and KDHE.
